Evaluation, with Baseline Analysis of Strengthening Resilience of Communities Through Sustainable Access to Additional Water Sources Hajja Governorate, Yemen project

The main task:

  1. Verifying the raising of capacity-building in the field of water management and advocacy.

  • Building the capacity of seven water specialized committees in the villages benefiting from the cisterns.

  1. Verifying the current condition of the cisterns rehabilitated.

  • Rehabilitation of seven cisterns in seven villages inhabited by 260 families.

  • Are the targeted cisterns primarily serving the purpose of household water supply?

  • Medium size cisterns (about125 m3)

  • Owned, shared and used by families (rather than being owned by one family).

  1. Verifying that the displaced families benefit from rainwater harvesting systems for:

  • Providing 100 families with rainwater harvesting systems. 

  • Targeting 100 families with rainwater harvesting systems (50 displaced families, 25 families headed by a woman and 25 families who are headed by or have a person with special needs or chronic diseases).

  1. Verifying implementation of project activities according to the five DAC - OECD criteria (relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability).
