Administration of Quality Assurance
Administration of Quality Assurance is one of the fundamental
pillars of the successful management model in the field of academic education,
where it aims to use advanced methods of quality assurance, improvement and
continuous development, and to achieve the highest possible levels in practices,
processes and outputs of Higher Education institutions. It also assists
institutions in establishing an appropriate management system that is achieved
through the processes the institution uses to improve its performance.
The quality system also highlights the disparity in levels between
institutions of higher education and perhaps between academic programs within a
single institution. Some institutions of higher education have resources and
resources, while others are scarce. The same applies to academic programs. As
for the importance of institutional quality and the components of the
accreditation process (study of self-assessment, external visit, granting or
rejecting accreditation), they are common aspects in all quality and academic
accreditation systems.
The quality assurance system is based on the following principles:
1- The responsibility of achieving Quality Assurance lies upon Higher
Education institution, as it is responsible for the quality of all its
facilities and the activities it practices.
2- Paying attention to all stakeholders (students, society, and
the labor market) with keenness to achieve high levels of satisfaction of these
parties by meeting their needs, desires and expectations;
3- Implementation of thought-oriented leadership, which employs
strategic planning and is characterized by impartiality, transparency and
justice so that it contributes to unifying visions, goals and strategies in the
Higher Education institution;
4- Promoting effective participation and consideration of equality
among all those involved in teaching and learning without discrimination;
5- Adopting the operational approach, as the required tasks are
accomplished more effectively when the required activities and resources are
managed in an operational form;
6- Adopting the systemic approach in management, as identifying,
understanding and managing interrelated processes contributes to the efficiency
and effectiveness of the institution to achieve its goals.
7- Commitment to continuous learning based on benefiting from
the accumulated experiences, accepting new ideas, responding to new needs, and
being open to the world;
8- Making rational decisions based on facts;
9- Ensuring mutual benefits between all parties related to the
Higher Education institution (students, faculty members, employees, society,
and the labor market).
10- The quality assessment should be based on evidence. Judging
the level of quality should not be based on personal judgments, but on direct
and tangible evidence and proofs as much as possible.
