 The most important documents to be submitted by the institution applying for Program Accreditation

 

1. The program must be one of the programs that the educational institution is authorized to provide in accordance with the statutory justifications (that is, the institution is legally authorized to grant the certificate with which the program ends in the relevant specialization according to the content of the institution establishment decree for government institutions or the content of the license granted to the institution for private institutions.

2. The president of the university (or the dean of the college) to which the program belongs must have approved the program’s application for accreditation and filled out Form No. 1.

3. The program specification has been conducted according to the form prepared by the Council of Accreditation for this purpose. This specification must be approved by the relevant main committee in the educational institution.

4. All program courses have been specified according to the form prepared by the Council for this purpose.

5. The program must have one batch of graduates at least, and feedback must be available from the graduates of the program (this condition does not apply in the case of accreditation for the year 2021).

6. The program must have selected one or more colleges for the purpose of benchmarking to evaluate the quality of the program. The program must have prepared a list of performance indicators against which the comparison will be made. If these indicators include unpublished data, the program must have taken the necessary measures to obtain them. This condition does not apply for the year 2021

Minimum requirements for the program to be eligible to apply for accreditation

·         The educational institution applying for the program has prepared its strategic plan.

·         The educational institution providing the program has established a quality center or unit, and that work is underway to prepare a strategic plan to improve quality.

·         The institution submitting the program has prepared a list of performance indicators for the purpose of quality assurance, and that the list includes indicators specific to the program. Data related to these indicators must be available to the institution in general and to most of the programs offered by the institution, including the program that wishes to qualify to apply for accreditation. These are to be submitted with a self-assessment report

·         The institution shall have a clear description of the procedures for approving programs and monitoring their quality, and the procedures for approving their amendments. Not applicable for applications in 2021

·         The educational institution that offers the program has used the method of surveying students’ opinions for the purpose of evaluating the quality of courses and programs in at least 50% of its faculties or departments. And that the institution has available data of surveys at the institutional level in the common aspects between faculties and departments, to ensure that this data can be used for benchmarking between the programs offered by the institution. This requirement does not apply to applicants in 2021

·         The educational institution offering the program should have a mechanism for academic advising and students advising service, and that the institution has procedures for evaluating the suitability of the services provided to students enrolled in the institution in this regard, in addition to a unit to follow up on the graduate, to be submitted with self-assessment report.
